Stanley Wade Balch, DO

Stanley Wade Balch, D.O. is a board-certified Internal Medicine Doctor in Mobile, Alabama. He completed his Internal Medicine residency and internship at NRMC within the Still OPTI network. Dr. Balch earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from A.T. Still University–Kirksville and graduated with honors from the University of Montana with a B.S. in Human Biological Sciences.

Dr. Balch has presented research on the impact of lifestyle and diet on COVID-19 disease severity and on fracture risk in older adults with and without prior DEXA screening. He has served as a guest lecturer for A.T. Still University’s Internal Medicine curriculum and led simulation training on shock management. His recognitions include NRMC’s Above and Beyond Award (2020) and multiple Dean’s List honors. He also holds certification in Wilderness Medicine.

A Montana native now rooted in Mobile, Dr. Balch enjoys time with his children and dogs, 3D printing, metal and automotive fabrication, hobby electronics, and playing guitar, mandolin, and ukulele.
