Jared Johnson, DO

Jared Johnson, D.O., is a board-eligible internal-medicine physician who joined our practice in 2025 after completing his residency at the University of South Alabama. A Mobile native, Dr. Johnson holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Biomedical Sciences and Philosophy from USA and earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine. During training he contributed to research on pulmonary arterial hypertension and vascular-remodeling biology and served in leadership roles with geriatrics and addiction-medicine programs.

Dr. Johnson enjoys partnering with adults of all ages to prevent and manage chronic conditions, with particular interests in cardiopulmonary health and healthy aging. He is a member of the American College of Physicians and continues to stay active in clinical research and medical education.

When he’s away from the office, you’ll likely find him casting a line along the Gulf Coast, experimenting with small-batch homebrews, or playing a quick game of pickleball. Dr. Johnson looks forward to helping patients in our community live healthier, fuller lives.

Stanley Wade Balch, DO

Stanley Wade Balch, D.O. is a board-certified Internal Medicine Doctor in Mobile, Alabama. He completed his Internal Medicine residency and internship at NRMC within the Still OPTI network. Dr. Balch earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from A.T. Still University–Kirksville and graduated with honors from the University of Montana with a B.S. in Human Biological Sciences.

Dr. Balch has presented research on the impact of lifestyle and diet on COVID-19 disease severity and on fracture risk in older adults with and without prior DEXA screening. He has served as a guest lecturer for A.T. Still University’s Internal Medicine curriculum and led simulation training on shock management. His recognitions include NRMC’s Above and Beyond Award (2020) and multiple Dean’s List honors. He also holds certification in Wilderness Medicine.

A Montana native now rooted in Mobile, Dr. Balch enjoys time with his children and dogs, 3D printing, metal and automotive fabrication, hobby electronics, and playing guitar, mandolin, and ukulele.

Muhammad Fahad Mughal, MD

Dr. Muhammad Fahad Mughal is a board-certified internal medicine physician with extensive experience in hospital and clinical settings. He obtained his medical degree from Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences, Pakistan, and completed his residency in internal medicine at Hurley Medical Center/Michigan State University. He holds active medical licenses in Arizona, Washington, and Nevada.

T. Gregory McKelvey, MD, PhD

Dr. Greg McKelvey received his undergraduate degree from the University of South Alabama, then received his Doctor of Philosophy in Medical Sciences and Doctor of Medicine degrees. His fellowship in Biomedical Sciences and Residency programs were both completed at the University of South Alabama.

Dr. McKelvey has served as a clinical instructor for the Department of Biomedical Sciences at USA and has published numerous articles and abstracts. He is also an accomplished speaker.

Dr. McKelvey joined Springhill Physician Practices in 2016 and specializes in internal medicine, with emphasis in diabetes and hypertension.
